Sec. Miller also presented a proclamation from Gov. Tom Wolf that designates April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Pennsylvania.

Sen. Schwank promotes resolution to encourage gender diversity in the work place

Sen. Judy Schwank (D-Berks) held a press conference Tuesday morning along with members of the Executive Women’s Council where they spoke out to encourage gender diversity in the work place through Senate Resolution 255.

The resolution urges both private and publicly held businesses and nonprofits in Pennsylvania to have a minimum of 30 percent women directors by Dec. 31, 2020.
