Remley surprises, Strassburger holds lead in fundraising in Pittsburgh special election

Heading into the last few days of special election campaigning for Pittsburgh’s open city council seat, one candidate doubled down on their financial edge with another big month of fundraising. 

According to city mandated campaign finance reports, independent candidate Erika Strassburger brought in $52,111 in the last month before March 6 special election for Pittsburgh’s District 8 city council seat.
