PennDOT Secretary testifies before House Transportation Committee on automated vehicle plan

In the aftermath of a fatal accident in Arizona involving an Uber Highly Automated Vehicle (HAV), the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation released a plan to increase safety regulations for self-driving cars. Following the April announcement, PennDOT Secretary Leslie Richards testified before the House Transportation Committee to discuss the future of HAVs and the proposed policy plan to regulate self-driving cars.
