Opposition to Common Core Standards ongoing

Pennsylvania adopted the Common Core education standards in November 2013 and the conservative efforts to repeal them haven’t stopped since.

Last week, reigniting debate on the issue, Rep. Gordon Denlinger (R-Lancaster) introduced House Bill 2439 that would repeal the standards while a commission formed under the legislation examined an appropriate replacement.

The bill currently has 23 co-sponsors.
