Sitting in front of the committee to explain the amendment to Senate Bill 76 was Senators Dave Argall (R-Schuylkill) and Mike Folmer (R-Lebanon), the main sponsors of the legislation.

Sponsors Hopeful Amendment Will Lead to Historic Vote on Property Tax Elimination

Today, senators unveiled a comprehensive amendment to legislation that would eliminate school property taxes in Pennsylvania. They are hoping the amendment will be the key to moving the bill to the governor’s desk.

“We believe that we are closer than ever before to slaying the school district property tax beast,” said Sen. Dave Argall (R-Schuylkill), prime sponsor of Senate Bill 76.
